The Phoenix Locksmith Institute, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has been dedicated to teaching the trade of locksmithing to the general public since 1997. Our 900-square-foot facility features a classroom and a fully operational locksmith shop, where students can gain hands-on experience with a variety of locks and locksmithing techniques.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the locksmithing industry. We achieve this through comprehensive courses, hands-on training, and expert instruction. Our instructors have over 20 years of practical experience in the locksmithing industry, and our courses are designed to be both informative and engaging.

Courses

We offer a range of courses to suit different skill levels and interests. Our most popular course is the Lock Maintenance Workshop, a 20-hour hands-on class that covers residential locksmith service calls, including lock installation, repair, and key duplication. Our Locksmith Diploma Course is a 60-hour comprehensive program that prepares students for entry-level locksmithing positions, covering topics such as key identification, lock cylinder dismantling, and master key systems. Our Advanced Certified Locksmith Course is a 100-hour program that takes students beyond basic locksmithing skills, covering high-security locks, safe opening, and advanced automotive lock servicing.

Emergency Lock Entry

We also offer a 5-hour Emergency Lock Entry course, which teaches the fundamentals of emergency lock entry techniques used by professional locksmiths. This course is designed for law enforcement, fire and emergency services personnel, and apartment complex maintenance staff.

Due to teaching obligations with commercial clients, The Phoenix Locksmith Institute is not currently accepting new students. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to reopening our doors in the future.
